Gas Powered But Not Too Large or Heavy
The Husqvarna 125B is a nice blower for anyone who desires gas power but doesn’t want to invest in a heavy and bulky unit. It’s not as compact or lightweight as the popular Hitachi RB24EAP, but still very easy to handle, comfortable to hold and manipulate easily with one hand.
It is suitable even for women or seniors, only after a longer use (one hour or so) it starts getting uncomfortable. So if you plan some longer blowing sessions, buy some cheap shoulder strap – there are two little nooses present (see the pictures) to attach it.
The noise level isn’t too bad, however ear protection is recommended. And of course, it comes with the disadvantages of gas powered tools like mixing fuel and performing a little maintenance. But on the other hand you get great power without any limitations of battery run time or extension cord.
A good news for most people is that the air intake is located on the right side so (unless you are left-handed) there will be no problems with your pants getting pulled against it.

Very Good Power + Speed Lock
Considering power, there’s not much to talk about, it’s as powerful as you would expect a handheld gas blower to be. It can clear moderate yards easily, removing leaves (even wet), debris small twigs, pinecones, acorns or walnuts. There are two nozzles included and you can even adjust the tube length slightly.
It’s easy to start, runs smoothly and features the cruise-control function so you can lock the speed and work without pressing the trigger – very useful indeed.
Negatives?
At this moment, the 125B has a 4.3 stars rating on Amazon – and throughout the negative reviews, there is no common theme, every user mentions something different: wrong carburetor settings, difficulty with starting, unit dying after 2 years, trigger stuck on full blast or stopping after 20 minutes of use.
So while there is always some chance of malfunction, it seems there is no major issue present.
Conclusion: If you need a powerful blower for your yard but don’t want to deal with a heavy or bulky unit, the Husqvarna 952711925 125B would be a great choice. Easy to start, not too heavy and equipped with a speed lock – we can definitely recommend it.
Or if you need a gas blower that is even more compact, check out the Hitachi RB24EAP.

Frequently asked questions:
What kind of fuel is required?
The machine is 2-cycle so a mix of gas and oil (50:1) is required. We recommend using a non-ethanol high octane gas and for example this oil.
Or to make things easier, you can get a premixed fuel.
Are there any accessories I should buy?
Besides the gas and oil, none.
Is there any maintenance needed?
Gas powered leaf blowers require some additional upkeep like cleaning the air filter or adding stabilizer to the fuel for winter storage – please read our guide (it focuses on string trimmers but most of the points apply to blowers as well) or refer to the user manual for more info.
