Handling and build quality
As all electric power washers, the AR383 is quiet (particularly your neighbors will appreciate that), portable and doesn’t require fuel or maintenance like gas machines. But of course, it comes with a price as its use is limited only to places close to an outlet.
It requires only a minimal assembly and the whole unit is lightweight, compact and easy to move around. The only problem comes from the pressure hose – users report it is too stiff and a little difficult to maneuver, also winding it onto the reel isn’t comfortable.
On the other hand, both the electrical cord and pressure hose are long enough, you don’t have to drag the entire unit around just to wash your car from each side.
In the previous years, there were many complaints that the plastic hose adapter leaks water – however, it seems AR Blue has upgraded the design and included a connecter that is made better and doesn’t leak.

Power
Don’t expect a gas performance of course, but for an electric washer, this model has a lot of power – more than enough for cleaning driveways, vehicles, lawn mower, decks, grills and other occasional home use. It also features the useful Total Stop System so the pump is engaged only when you pull the trigger – this helps to release pressure on the pump and prolong its life.
It uses an adjustable spray tip so you can choose your desired spray angle and pressure really quickly – that’s a nice feature but also a compromise, the non-adjustable tip with different nozzles (used on the Sun Joe model for example) is slightly slower to switch, but much more effective. For soap or detergent use, an attachable bottle is also present (see the photo).

We should also mention that while most users were pleased with this unit, there were also a few that reported it stopped working after some time or even died right away during the first use.
Areas of use
As we have already mentioned the AR Blue 383 does a great job on most of classical home cleaning tasks – windows, car, tiled or brick patio or wall, siding, pool, garden furniture and equipment, concrete or wooden porch. Dirt, mold, mildew, moss buildup – all removed quickly and easily.
If you are afraid the water pressure can damage the item (windows, car, vinyl siding), just open the nozzle a bit to get a wider spray and step backwards from the object a little. It lacks power only for the really tough or big jobs like very large decks or driveways.
Conclusion: If you want a quality pressure washer mainly for an occasional home use, the AR383 from AR Blue Clean would be a great candidate. Its power is sufficient for all light or medium jobs like cleaning your car, garden equipment and furniture, decks, patios, driveways, poolside and so on. We can definitely recommend it. (update: There is also an upgraded version if you don’t mind spending a little more money)
However, if you need to use it often or clean larger areas like driveway or large decks, a gas machine would be a better choice.
