Best powerful blower:

If you need to maintain a large property or a lot of leaves, a heavy-duty blower (that doesn’t require an extension cord) would be the best choice – gas powered machines are the most common, but even some powerful cordless models have appeared in recent years. And all of them will handle wet or deeply layered leaves and tough debris easily.

How to choose a leaf blower?

We can say there are three main types of blowers:

  • Sweepers – these tools are designed for cleanup and easier tasks like cleaning your walkways, garage or patio from dust and debris. They are lightweight and inexpensive.
  • Universal blowers – they are slightly more expensive than sweepers but also more powerful, capable of blowing leaves from grass, bushes or banks. Many of them are also equipped with a vacuum and mulcher – ideal solution for your garden.
  • Powerful blowers – if you need to maintain a large property and blow away piles of leaves, get one of these. Their price is higher but the power is well worth it.

So we advise you to start this way – think about the tasks you plan using your blower on and decide which type will be the best option for you.

Sweeper

Universal Blower

Powerful Blower

Pros:

  • Cheap
  • Lightweight

Cons:

  • Less powerful

Pros:

  • Solid power
  • Often with vacuum

Cons:

  • Not ideal for deep layers or wet leaves

Pros:

  • Great power

Cons:

  • Heavier
  • More expensive

Some more things to consider:

Size of your property and obstacles on the way

  • On a smaller garden, you can get by with a cheaper electric tool, but as the size of your lawn (and distance to power outlet) increases, you would appreciate the mobility of battery or gas units.
  • Also, a cordless one would be better than electric if there are many obstacles on your garden (trees, poles, furniture etc.) – you don’t want to deal with a tangled cord every few minutes πŸ™‚
  • Think about how much time would the job take – cordless units are limited by the battery work time (usually 15-30 minutes) and spare batteries are fairly expensive. So for a large yard, a gas machine is ideal.
